Wear your Halloween costume and visit all your favorite businesses, enjoy Halloween music, play some great games on this very special Haunted Downtown!
This is a Haunted Downtown festival and not a trick or treating event, we encourage you to come out and enjoy Downtown Metuchen as our retailers get festive for this fun day!
Free MDA Events
- 12pm to 2:30pm – T-Rex walking through Downtown (N.B.: Dinosaurs need to rest and will be taking a break from about 12:45pm to 2pm)
- 11am to 3pm Halloween Apple Bobbing Race on New Street. Pick a partners and run on this course to grab as many apples as you can!
- DJ on Main St. Monster Mash dance off on the hour starting at 1pm.
- Halloween Costume Parade starting at 11:30am at Imagination Alley (445 Main Street)
- Carved Pumpkin Decorating Contest (drop off between 10am and 11am) at 411 Main Street
- Wheel of (Mis)Fortune – Make a purchase downtown and spin the wheel for a chance to win something special
- Spirit Table – A satirical take on fortune telling and your future (which is sure to be fun!)
Community Events
- 11am to 3pm Halloween Bounce House on New Street sponsored by the Borough Recreation Department
- Traffic & Transportation – Learn about the Borough Commission and try out the Halloween cone toss
- Friends of the Metuchen Library – May the Force be with you as you make a light saber to fend off the spirits
- Accessibility Committee – Peace Pod, a special place for friends and family who may need some quiet time at Soul Bowl
- FPC Food Pantry – Make a donation to the FPC Food Pantry and try your luck at our monster bean bag toss
